Exploring the Chakras: Throat
The throat chakra, the fifth chakra, is all about speaking our truth. This chakra vibrates blue which stands for wisdom, loyalty and faith. This chakra relates to everything communication, this includes recognizing and sharing our ideas and feelings. As important as sharing our inner truth, it cannot be forgotten that active listening is also very key to maintaining a healthy flow in this chakra.
The throat chakra is found in the throat and neck (no surprise) and is related to the element of sound. The ability to speak honestly, express ourselves, and process information all aids in creating deep and intimate relationships with others and the Self.
When this chakra is out of balance or blocked, we sometimes see:
↠ Poor communication skills
↠ Holding back feelings (especially anger)
↠ Frustration
↠ Feelings of being misunderstood
↠ Difficulties being assertive
↠ Sore throat and/or tonsillitis
↠ Unable to share feelings and ideas
↠ Shy or excessive talking

↠ Learning disabilities
When properly balanced and active, we see people who are:

Food to help balance this chakra: Liquids are very important for fueling this chakra as they are very soothing to the throat. Blue colored food and tree grown fruits are also great for the fifth chakra.⋯Water, herbals teas (like chamomile and peppermint), soups, sauces, blueberries, lemons, plums, apricots, apples, kiwi, peaches⋯
