What is a gift?
A gift from our ancestors or spiritual teachers are not the same gifts as we give a friend on their birthday.

More often, gifts from our ancestors are not tangible materialistic offerings, but rather they are lessons, words of encouragement, guidance, opportunities, or some type of wisdom. They can bring people into our lives in the form of teachers, friends, lovers, and children.

This isn’t to say that ancestors never gift us material goodies though, the gift could also be abundance in any form. They could provide us with new financial wealth or financial security, gifts of random offerings, or even a dream purse on sale at the store.

The gift may appear to be a lesson that is not necessarily positive in the present moment (like pulling the Tower card for example), but this lesson will later be viewed as a blessing in our lives for something that it offered.
