Year Ahead Tarot Spread

Looking for a unique tarot spread to do for the year ahead?

I often get asked “how to do a year ahead reading” and there are many ways. You can choose to pull 12 cards to define each individual month, or you can do a general year ahead reading for overarching themes and energy. I’ve chosen to do the latter in this year ahead tarot spread.

I personally don’t like to have too close a view on a month-to-month basis on my year ahead readings anymore. I prefer a general overview so that I don’t stifle myself or have negative expectations for certain months.

You can of course, still choose to do this tarot spread alongside a 12 month ahead spread or in conjunction with any other year ahead spread you feel called to.

2024 Comes to an End

I have officially posted a new tarot spread or free resource every week in 2024!

I’m so proud to continue to offer free resources as part of my brand. Emerald Lotus has grown and evolved so much over the years, yet I still value and love my tarot spreads.

When I first began making tarot spreads it was a way to help me learn tarot. Now that I can read cards without a spread, I technically no longer have a use for them. But I still find they inspire my personal tarot practice and I absolutely love journaling alongside my tarot readings.

I’m looking forward to seeing what we create in 2025!
