Exploring the Chakras: Crown

Positioned on the top of the head, the crown chakra represents our connection to divinity, to the universe. The crown chakra is our intuitive knowing; our deeper understanding of the Self beyond the physical realm. It is almost “what we can’t touch”… if that resonates.

This chakra is a blend of the colors violet and white. The element associated with the seventh chakra is Thought – we see this in consciousness, connection to spirit, enlightenment and great wisdom. The crown chakra is the gateway to the full experience of universal oneness.

When this chakra is out of balance or blocked, we sometimes see:

↠ Sensitivity to light and sound
↠ Loss of identity
↠ Disinterest in spiritual exploration
↠ Fear of death
↠ Dizziness

The crown chakra is special in that it has moved past the “material realm” and is therefore energized by things like sunlight, air and love. Some say that fasting, detoxing, incense, smudging, or any other spiritually cleansing ritual, is good for this chakra.
