Inner Child - Acknowledging & Appreciating Tarot Spread
I’ve done a couple inner child tarot spreads in the past, but I felt like creating a shorter and more gentle tarot spread this time to do some inner child work.
I’ve found many of the deeper inner child lessons come up when simply acknowledging the inner child and spending time appreciating them (by honoring their interest like playing games, having fun, being creative). I notice that in those more relaxed moments with my inner child, larger messages tend to bubble up to the surface.
As with many psychological aspects of the self, sometimes you get further to the root by taking what seems like a roundabout way to the core of the issue. By coming in a less intense way, we allow ourselves to remain open-minded. That chatter of the ego stays quiet for longer which create space for those larger messages.
In any event, even if the intention is not to get to some deep healing space of the inner child - it feels amazing to simply acknowledge our inner child. Showing yourself love and appreciation that you may have felt lacking growing up does wonders for the soul. Let’s try it with this new spread!
If you have the time and the interest, I suggest following this tarot spread by dedicated to your inner child. Anything you feel called to do, some examples:
- Writing your inner child a letter
- Drawing/Coloring
- Doing a craft
- Dancing to a song
- Playing a game
- Meditate
- Affirmations to your inner child
- Eat something you enjoyed as a child
- Give yourself space to play
OR anything else you feel called to.
